Website Explore revival of Uttarayani’s website created earlier during 2004, or recreate new one. The website would be interactive in nature to enable members upload their views/suggestions, details of special events/information e.g. marriages, achievements, changes of address/tele Nos or sharing of any other news/information. However, during the transition period our E-mails: uttarayani@rediffmail.com and ddimri@hotmail.com would remain active.

Souvenior Needs to be published within next 6 months or so. Please send your articles/write-up to the editorial board by 15 Feb 2008, positively. Also, please volunteer to fetch some advertisements to facilitate the publication in the Souvenior.

Members’ Directory Updation is a mammoth task, which can be completed only through members’ active co-operation. Please intimate your and other members known to you; latest address, telephone, mobile numbers and E-mails to any of the Executive Committee members by 30 Dec 2007.

Office Space Making an earnest attempt to identify / acquire suitable space on priority-basis. Please do help us with your suggestions and supportive actions in this respect.

Family get-together Planned to be held during mid Jan, 2008, in Delhi. Following this, meetings and get-togethers would be planned on regular basis.

Annual Day Programme (alongwith Cultural Programme) To be suitably planned with full exploitation of Members’ and their wards’ talents as also befittingly include few traditional/folk items. We also plan to organise / stage few ‘Nukkad’ type short plays, carrying social reform messages for our native land on ‘Nasha-bandi’ etc.

Activity spectrum To cover: Addition to the depleting membership, fanning out to other cities/areas including overseas, conduct programmes for children, organise lectures/exhibitions, undertake projects etc with the objective for Uttarakhand’s development. All these for adding to Uttarayani’s visibility and growth. We solicit Members’ suggestion on these vital aspects. Uttarayani also proposes to be in touch with other contemporary Uttarakhand Societies/organizations, active in NCR as also with the State Government on common issues.

Members’ Participation in ‘Uttarayani’ Meetings/Functions on Voluntary basis It was felt that
Uttarayani needs to cover wider range of activities on
regular basis to make Members’ attendance and
participation worthwhile and attractive. We plan to draw befitting
pragmatic ‘Roadmap’ for the
future activities and request all members to support us with their timely feedback on telephone or by e-mail/post. To start with,
